The Dual Degree and Second Degree Programs allow students to complete degrees from two different Faculties or Schools at Queen's University. Students must meet all of the criteria. Please note departmental admission averages may exceed these requirements:
How it works?Two requirements must each be met for a student to pursue a Second Degree. First, the desired second degree Plan must have capacity to accept students. Second, the combination of the first and second degree Plans must be academically viable, meaning the two degree Plans are significantly different.
Applicants who first degree is from another university must have the equivalent of a minimum Queen's Cumulative GPA of 2.6 for most Plans to be considered for Full time admission, and 2.60 for Part time admission to most Plans. In addition, they must also satisfy departmental criteria that may exceed these minimum. In all cases, admission to a Second Degree is only possible when the applicant's first degree is from an accredited post secondary institution and in a substantially different Plan from the proposed Second Degree.
Please note: students are Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit Bred accepted on a first come, first served basis. That is, students who apply for the Fall term are considered and may be accepted in advance of students who apply for the Winter and Summer terms. There is a defined capacity in each degree Plan for each academic year and spaces may be taken before the Winter or Summer application periods. The Faculty has limited capacity to accommodate Dual Degree students, and only accepts candidates into dual degree combinations that are academically viable. To ensure the academic integrity of the Dual Degree Program the Faculty Office, in consultation with the Department(s) concerned, approves combinations to ensure that there is minimal overlap in course content.
University and St. Lawrence College; students in this unique 4+1 model will graduate with a BMus Degree and an MDM Diploma in five years.

What's Possible?On campus and Distance degree Plans with capacity to accept Second Degree applicants for the 2014 2015 academic year are listed below. If a degree Plan is not listed, it is at capacity and cannot accept Second Degree applicants. Degree Plans with limited space (5 10 spots) are in BOLD. Programs with higher than standard admission averages are in italics. Distance degree Plans and 3 year degrees are listed in Red. Students admitted to Distance Studies are limited to distance courses and distance degree Plans.

In addition to the shared units, students must complete a further 30.0 secondary units to reach the minimum overall total required for the secondary, Arts and Science, Degree Program. All secondary units must be completed at the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen's University. They may not be transferred from another post secondary institution or from the primary Faculty or School at Queen's. Dual Degree students must register all secondary units with the Faculty of Arts and Science and pay the appropriate fees.
Applicants must apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) for admission to on campus study to the Faculty of Arts and Science. See Undergraduate Admission for more details. Applicants must meet the Faculty minimums and satisfy appropriate departmental criteria that may exceed these minimums. Enrolment limitations or lack of prerequisites may result in the denial of an admission.
Each student's Dual Degree Program consists of three types of units: shared, primary and secondary. In addition, Dual Degree students must meet the unit requirements of the Arts and Science Plan in which they are registered. Dual Degree students must register all secondary units with the Faculty of Arts and Science and pay the appropriate fees. Shared units may count towards the Arts and Science Plan.

In addition to the shared units, students must complete further primary units to reach the minimum overall total required for the primary Degree Program. All class and degree requirements for the primary program must be completed according to the regulations of that Faculty or School.
